Montaukett Indian Nation, Dylan Jenet “Winter Rain” Collins is the 2011 NATIVE AMERICAN MUSIC AWARD WINNER for BEST POP RECORDING ARTIST! The gifted 14 year old is the Youngest NAMMY Winner in History! Dylan also had the honor of being a Solo Performer at the 13th Annual Awards where performers included Native Icons, Keith Secola, Gabriel Ayala, Nokie Edwards, Derek Miller, Pipestone, Buddy Big Mountain, Ed Koban, Edko & the Brotherhood & Janice Marie Johnson! Inspired by the Great Spirit, Dylan applies her talent and creativity to honor her Algonquin Nation and further the cause of Northeast Indigenous Rights.

This Singer/Songwriter/Actress/Dancer is a member of SAG, AFTRA, AEA and NARAS. Dylan has performed on stage, film and television. Some of her major accomplishments include being a featured Soloist for PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO and the Presidential Inaugural Neighborhood Ball in Washington, D.C. Dylan’s numerous theater credits include playing Young Nala in Disney’s Broadway Production of The Lion King & Little TiMoune in Once on this Island!

Dylan is an Apollo Theater Star Of Tomorrow Award Winner, former Miss New York Junior Pre-Teen Queen, Urban League Legacy Awardee for Philanthropy, Lifetime NAACP Member and volunteers for several charities.

Dylan’s Montaukett roots were passed down by her father. However, Dylan’s mother is Caribbean, African American & Native. Dylan’s diverse background, amazing talent, true love & appreciation of music provides an early glimpse of the Industry’s Newest Rising Star!

Dylan has just been cast with a lead role “Cashe” in Director Stephen Drayton’s newest film, Family Court which will begin shooting summer of 2012! Dylan will also be a featured performer at The Motown Tribute along with Boyz II Men, Dionne Warwick, BeBe Winans, Melba Moore, Martha Reeves, Paul Schaffer and special surprise guest on February 9th at Carnegie Hall! The event will be hosted by CNN’s Soledad O’brien and American Idol’s Musical Director, Ray Chew!
